My Approach

Together, we work from the inside out (biology, behaviours, core beliefs and mindset), and from the outside in (nutrition, light regulation, exercise and environment).

Evidence Based

The field of sleep science is a growing one. I use all the latest insights from sleep science,  demystifying the evidence to create relevant, personalised information for you to take practical action on.

As my client I will empower you with knowledge and support you to make informed choices, backed up by the latest in sleep science, as you move towards a peaceful night's sleep and the very best version of yourself.

Integrated and Holistic

I am a certified Integrated Adult Sleep Coach on the Holistic Science of Sleep Method (™), which means I look at all the factors that may be contributing to or aggravating your sleep challenges.

By taking a 360 degree view of all parts of your life, we are able to identify and work on the root cause of your sleep challenge. This ensures we are working on the right thing (rather than putting a sticking plaster over secondary symptoms), for you to unlock consistent, restful and restorative sleep.

Coaching

When we have sleep challenges, our cognitive and emotional relationship with sleep becomes negatively skewed. Together we will unpack and reframe this relationship so you can once again trust in your body’s natural ability and propensity to sleep soundly.

I have more than 20 years’ experience in business coaching. I use tools, approaches and techniques from behavioural psychology, to provide the very best tailored and personalised support for my clients.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • As a certified sleep coach, I will work with you to uncover the root cause of your sleep issues. Once we know this, collaboratively we set goals, and I will then support you to move towards these goals and, ultimately, restful sleep.

But I am not a human sleeping pill. To be successful, coaching requires a level of commitment to the process. That’s why one of the things we’ll talk about in our discovery call is readiness for change. Because if you change nothing, nothing changes.

  • Most of my clients have tried everything: over-the-counter sleeping aids, prescription medication, elaborate bedtime routines, sleepy teas, meditation and breathwork. It is not to say that these things don’t work, but if they are not working for you then sleep coaching could be the answer. My mission is to support you to return to natural and restorative sleep. My approach is grounded in sleep science and it is evidence based, which means I work with your natural biology to restore healthy and restorative sleep. The approach is also holistic and integrative, which means I look at all parts of your life, including nutrition, exercise, sunlight, mindset, beliefs and your relationship with sleep, to see how these are impacting your sleep.

As my client you will receive a personalised sleep plan, which is tailored to your specific needs and contains a set of integrated steps to return to restorative sleep.

  • Sleep coaching is not the right solution for you if you are not ready to make changes in your lifestyle, and behaviours to improve your sleep. And this is fine! I would always recommend you wait until you are ready to take action otherwise the protocol is unlikely to be effective.

  • First of all, I’ll ask you to complete a thorough intake form, which gives me a wealth of information about you. From this, I’ll prepare our first consultation, which is typically 75 minutes. In this session we’ll go deeper into understanding the root cause of your sleep challenges, explore your sleep diary and agree short and long-term goals. We will also use this time to explore any potential blockers to success and how you will overcome them. From the outset I will provide you with the tools and knowledge, personalised to your specific goals.

Subsequent sessions are used to check progress, make small adjustments to the plan, answer any questions and concerns you may have, and prepare you for the next step towards restorative sleep.

My aim is for you to be self-sufficient by the end of our time together. You will have the knowledge and insight you need to continue to optimise your sleep.

  • If you have been diagnosed with a medical sleep condition we can still work together. This also applies with other conditions such as stress, anxiety and ADHD.

You should continue to receive support from a medical practitioner if you have a medically diagnosed condition.

  • All my work is remote, which means I can provide coaching globally over Zoom.
